Cary,

Now that you have your rounded up your CSCO at P/S = 6, do you intend to sell covered calls? If not, what was the purpose of rounding up to an even multiple of 100? Do you intend to buy more CSCO at lower price targets? Why do you think CSCO is a bargain at 6 times sales?

Sam

Awww Cary...you're just jealous you didn't get the Megabucks tax cut your competent criminal hero gave to Marc Rich! Tell me how competent that was. How come Gephardt and Daschle aren't computing that in the equivalent number of Lexus's so the unwashed masses can understand the magnitude of his "tax cut"?

Cary,
Stick with the stock picks. I am not blaming Clinton for this mess. To blame bush is ludicrous. Our President of the Economy, AG, ultimately is responsible for these events. Those guys panicked when inflation went from 2 to 3%. Runaway inflation is bad but sometimes regular inflation is not. Oldtimers are always complaining that prices are so high compared to when they were young. But look at our incomes you would answer. A $5 sandwhich is effectively cheaper than one for 50 cents. Yes and No. When those folks earned money, FICA taxes were real low and income taxes were tiny and there were no sales taxes. So in a way, they earned 50 cents and kept 45 while we earn $50K and keep $30K. Cary, you are an MIT grad, why cant you grasp the simple concept that every wage earner should get to keep more of what he earns. Mike

PS Just loaned by daughter $1200 to pay her taxes. She is a physical therapist working for a bankrupt company. Her wages are down 10% from where she started. Her husband is a writer for a health care publication. Combined income of $75K. They withhold at married with one deduction. How in God's name could they owe taxes at the end of the year? My son is a first year lawyer for a big NY firm. He makes a lot of money but is working 80 hours a week. His paycheck is about 60% of his gross and he needs to file estimated taxes in 2001 because he is being under-withheld. Both voted for Gore, both are on the verge of a conversion based on a reality check.
