So the obvious solution would be for Bush to loudly proclaim that America is not in a recession. He should also take back his tax cut proposals just to convince people that his proclamation is for real. Then we can all sit back and relax as consumer confidence surges again and the stock market rebounds as a direct result of his words alone.

Ted, I can only wish the Big POTUS had that much influence.
