Separation of Church and State... Not to be confused with moral behavior. If two men want to live as a couple, that's their business. If they want to adopt a child, I have a problem with that. ~SB~

I think that a fair compromise is possible and warranted. I honestly believe that this President would not be opposed to some solution that placates all (most) sides. Incremental change is better than none at all. ~SB~

Any couple who wants a legal relationship is free to create it for themselves. "Marriage is in fact the legal business arrangement part of being in love." Again, anyone who studies the history of law knows that marriage was created for the benefit of children. I would be the first to admit that our society has changed much in recent years, but I don't think Homosexual relationships have much to do with procreation. Secondly, marriage is not such a great deal for the participants, especially when it comes time to break up. Frankly, were it not for the protection of children, I would argue that most people would be better offf with contractual arrangements. Little joe
