Not to be confused with moral behavior. If two men want to live as a couple, that's their business. If they want to adopt a child, I have a problem with that.

I think that a fair compromise is possible and warranted.

I honestly believe that this President would not be opposed to some solution that placates all (most) sides. Incremental change is better than none at all.

Any couple who wants a legal relationship is free to create it for themselves.

Again, anyone who studies the history of law knows that marriage was created for the benefit of children. I would be the first to admit that our society has changed much in recent years, but I don't think Homosexual relationships have much to do with procreation. Secondly, marriage is not such a great deal for the participants, especially when it comes time to break up. Frankly, were it not for the protection of children, I would argue that most people would be better offf with contractual arrangements.
