same here - want to make that very clear, it's only the Communist Party leadership that i despise (although i do respect them, for their Macchiavellian cunning)...China's people are a different matter altogether.

let me add that i'm not so sure about China's economic 'responsibilities' as you put it. it is after all still a 'development stage' market economy, too small as of yet to really matter in the bigger scheme of things...it is also natural for such an early stage capitalistic experiment to be subject to magnified and faster boom/bust cycles....
where China has to show restraint is in the way its government treats its citizens, and in foreign affairs. i believe Taiwan's distrust of mainland China's designs on it is fully justified....
