Oh, well, Ok, a bit more description ...

Another economic indicator in China is "Passions" at the Great Wall Sheraton Hotel. It is deliciously possible to feel absolutely wicked and possibly evil even when embraced by elegance, drowned in thumping music, and blinded by pulsating lights.

In this and most five star hotels, one gets calls in the early mornings and early evenings, when the instinct is at its strongest. To be repeatedly tested so, in so cruel a fashion, by the fashionably elegant ... yes, yes, yes, oh god, just forgive me one more time, and then let me watch CNBC.

And no, I never do anything wrong, do not smoke, and only chugs 12 beers per year. I like watermelon juice and mango shakes.

As I have kept emphasizing, there are no communists in China; not any more. Just party folks carrying no party cards, paying party dues not affordable by communists.

Not yet at the level Gold Club in Atlanta, nor Club Le Femme Nu in Honolulu. Progress marches slowly.
