I have 4 accounts :

IRA
Long Term Investment trading
Swing Trading and covered calls
Day Trading

I am buying stocks now and writing calls , all I want is the premium so I tend to wait for the stock to hit a strike price then buy and write the calls.

I like short stocks on run ups in my Day Trading account and will be happy with 1/4 to 1/2 a point on any trade.

I Only play a few stocks , INTC , CSCO, DELL, ORCL, JDSU.

I bought SUNW at 17 3/16 and wrote the April 17.5 call for 1 7/8 . I will probably buy some ORCL if it dips under 15 and more CSCO and write calls on it also . I have a lot of cash to buy stocks so this strategy may work out well if the stocks stay in a tight trading range.

Opportunities like this dont happen very often , remember the last tech mess a few years ago??
I agree with your leap stragegy (although I might buy in the money also) , 2003 leaps I think are the way to go very soon .
