April puts (instead of March's) offer some protection against a surprise visit form "The Put" this week. Otherwise I agree with you and I did buy some KSS March's today.

sure, but playing options that close to expiration is still very risky. if the market Gods hadn't complied with yesterday's debacle March options would most likely have been a write-off.
