Consumer confidence is worsening because the Naz went thru a major correction, and because the president and his pundits are saying we are in a recession and need a tax cut to get us out.<<<<<< Consumer confidence has been dropping for 5 months straight. High energy bills, along with a cold winter took $500 billion dollars of discretionary spending out of the consumers pockets for Xmas; which in turn slowed consumer spending, causing layoffs. GW has been president for less than 2 months. Quit trying to blame GW for Bill's slowdown or recession possibly.
