An adequate definition, although it misses the central Communist tenet that the means of production must be held by the state, Your dots are scattered. How can you admit it is "adequate", then claim it misses the so-called "central" tenet? That makes no sense at all. Most definitions of communism are similar to the one I copied along with others referencing political systems and Marxist doctrine. Socialists of all stripes can be fairly characterized as communists because they advocate government seizure of assets from the people.
