You're absolutely right. Many many people are loaded with capital gain tax by selling into early 2000 rally, followed by buying on "dips". All that trillions of dollars of surplus is just a dream.

Many of the capital gains will be negated by loss selling, which was easy to obtain this year compliments of the bears' hero, Greenspan.knc
