Turns out that many of us aren't as 'aggressive' going down as we were going up."

"Stands to reason, doesnt it? If I buy a stock going up, it is worth more tommorrow than it is today. If I buy a stock going down, it is worth less tommorrow than it is today. So why rush to buy on the way down? "

Chris,

What I meant was that it's easy to consider ones self an "aggressive" investor till there is a downturn. Then everyone (or many) become more conservative.

Seems to me that if you are truly an aggressive investor the downs are just part of the process. I wish that I had been more risk averse now.

Will Rogers said it's easy to make money in the stock market. Buy stocks that go up. If they don't go up, don't buy them.
