I remember in the 87 selloff a picture in the paper of a trader on our floor with his head hanging down while he sat there. What you couldn't tell from the picture was that it was a crossword puzzle he was gazing at..<g>
He was not a pro , so didn't care what the market was doing.

Can someone explain to me why many think this thing will bottom and just turn around overnight? I guess that is what has been taught the lemmings over the last 10 years but this time it is different.

This time it will not turn around on capitulation(high volume sell off). Bottoms in bear markets don't happen that way. In corrections but not bear markets. Bear markets end on LOW volume....not HIGH volume. FWIW
