I think a lot of the negative market sentiment has originated with GW. He has ignored California's energy problem showing o total ignorance of what those price hikes implied for the rest of the us economy. Since it looked like he was elected hes been telling everyone who could hear that the economy was falling apart so he could get his tax cuts passed. His MBA type administration is woe fully lacking in expertise on macroeconomic issues. He was perceived as a friend of old economy stocks and that has only added to the negative outlook for tech. In my mind its no coincidence that this market has gotten really ugly since the election.

Greenspan Resignation for health reasons is the least I would accept as an investor. The Health of The Markets and the Health of the Economy. The markets would be happy to have him replaced, the sooner the better. Just ask Bill O'Reilly, he has it right.
