Zeev,
the market for fiberoptic polishing is highly concentrated. 3M (MMM) owns 50%+. Then there are smaller players. The bigger of the smaller ones are a Japanese company and Moyco. Antitrust won't allow MMM to acquire MOYC but I have heard them being called "a thorn in MMM's side". Without them, MMM would virtually own the US market and fiberoptic polishing will be needed even more if fiber based feeder loops (VDSL) or FTTC (2the curb) or FTTH (to the home) will be realized.

Interesting you like CDTS. It's the one company of the HTS-wireless segment (ISCO, SCON, CDTS) with the broadest breadth of patent coverage - not only into wireless filters but also for other, non-related superconductor applications like ultrafast lasters etc..
