Margin calls; the 300 point drop from last week's high should result in margin calls this afternoon [ I'm assuming their were still some longs on margin] I'm betting that any liquidation will be offset by institutional buying. If we don't get a selloff this p.m. I'll be more confident of my long positions. We shall see.

Were you being serious or facetious? With the written word it can be difficult to ascertain at times.

I say precisely what I mean to say. If I am being facetious, I will usually indicate it with >smirk<. If I am being sarcastic, I will indicate it like this. . .>said sarcastically<.

I try NOT to write between the lines, so it is best not to try to read between them. If you are ever unclear on what I am saying, just ask. I will gladly provide amplification.

I simply paid Spirit a complement for an "even-handed" commentary, due to the high amount of criticism he has received in recent weeks for his often stubborn leaning toward the bullish view. Point out the good behavior and the not-so-good often takes care of itself.

Directing a board like this is much like growing roses. . . if you know anything about that. I want everyone here to do better and better in your trading, in your virtual relationships, in your jobs and with your families. Sometimes that requires heavy-handed pruning. . . other times patience is all that is required. I also wish that everyone open their eyes to the world around them and see things for what they are [both inside and outside the box]. And that is usually when I get up on my soapbox.

Those are my two priorities here. All else is ancillary. This board has never been ONLY about trading. Anyone who thought it was, has probably missed the majority of the good stuff here.
