Hello all. Some comments from Merrill Lynch conference being held currently: ________ 12:51 ET JDS Uniphase (JDSU) 22 9/16 -5/16 (-1.4%): At Merrill Lynch Global Conference company emphasis is on their broad product base which Merrill suggests leaves it well positioned once capital spending picks up. JDSU indicates that a key going forward will be reducing costs through automating manufacturing which is well underway. However, outlook still clouded due to economic slowdown, excess inventory at customers and reduced spending at carriers.
