Taxes revenue has been growing faster then the combined rates of inflation and population growth. So has spending.

Under Clinton Govt spending increased by 3.6% per year.

1 - Taxes increased much faster.

2 - I was not talking about under Clinton. I didn't mention Clinton once in the post. I was talking about the long term trend since atleast the new deal, probably since world war one if not before.
