What is bunk is that head start or preschool are of major benefit to children entering school. Those who work in those programs, of course, tout their benefits, but the reality is that they make minimal, if any, difference. Children raised at home by a caring parent are, for the most part, in much better shape to begin Kindergarden than those coming out of preschool programs.
