If my portfolio had matched the nasdaq, I'd be way ahead of where I am today. My G&Ks are much more volatile than the index.

The multiples I referred to were in reference to the excellent post Dr. Id made last year concerning levels of net worth, which he defined as all you could ever need, all you could ever use, and all you could ever want. 10X to 15X qualifies for the first level, and should trigger a shift to a less volatile positioning in allocations.
