OT/, Re: CPI & PPI, some new thinking on my part regarding
the inflationary effect of medical care.
Yes , it has been rising. However what I think may happen
in the future, is that as much as Americans would
like to drive a Cadillac ( full private health insurance )
for the price of a YUGO ( HMOs ), ultimately there is no free
lunch in America.
If all you can afford is an HMO, then that's what
you'll have to get, until you can afford something better.
The good thing for the future is that I think GWBush will
try and bring changes in the system to make health care more affordable.

In regards to CPI, the collapsing Asian/Japan market is
likely to help cushion any price increases.

Energy prices will likely stay the same and are counterbalanced by slowing economies and more exploration per GWB,
