Each device is a sub today... But would that be true in a few years time? If the futurephone shown at Comdex is an indication of future trends, more likely than not, your phone, pda, laptop, web tablet will all communicate using bluetooth with your single cdma card modem and the cdma card modem (which i suspect will be like a secure card, with a small keypad on it allowing you to register new personal devices with it) will act as router to the external world. everyone walks around with their own personal wireless LAN.
