I am still holding with the notion that this is a correction of the excesses in the economy rather than the mother of all grizzlies. I think that the resulting business practices of the new age businesses will make a lot more sense and not be based on so much speculation. With this, I do believe that the productivity gains will continue to be significant. And there are still a lot of boomers out there that will be looking for someplace to park some cash. And there is still a lot of cash out there on the sidelines to fuel a nice rise in the market.

And oil prices will always fix themselves.

I believe that a big part of the problem has been that the demand for the new services provided by the internet hasn't been sufficient in the U.S. to maintain the bubble. However, each year the demographics will change to favor the adoption of new technologies. Basically, as old farts like you and I die off, our kids will be adopting the latest and greatest stuff about the time that they enter kindergarten. The adoption of mobile internet stuff in Asia is tremendous. Eventually, I would expect to see that in the states. As well as a stronger demand for big pipes for communications. The changing demographics will fuel the demand for this and revive the telecom sector.
