First, I did not rant on about "socialist ideology". In fact, I just explained that Hitler was not a socialist. Second, I accept that there is a big difference between democratic socialism and Communism. Some of the best anti- Communists were democratic socialists. Third, I was commenting on the excesses of fanatical ideologues, not "socialists". Fourth, I am not talking about "imperfect implementation", I am saying that a state without a free market in labor is not a capitalist state. I deny that the regime in the Congo Free State was a capitalist regime.I deny that the southern states of the Union were even imperfectly capitalist. I deny that the squirearchy of Ireland was capitalist, and even when the Liberal Party was in power in the UK, I think it misapplied capitalist theory to the crisis. Bad policy is culpable, but it is not the same thing as purposely starving people.......
