Rally is due to oversold when NYSE market crashed on GE. Cash is king on Wall street, they only hold stock for their good customers(Barnum and Bailey terminology).

I did not buy any bargains last week of year 2000, which I normally do and would have sold before March 15 for 300% gain. Now, I am waiting for the last week of year 2001. Otherwise, I am in money market funds, instead of risking double digit gains(30%).
