Greenspan will lower rates, but, as you know, it takes many months to work through the system.

Tax rates Bush proposes will mostly help wealthy people. They have the money for consumption.

His tax cuts will not help various forms of middle classes and poor who will not have the money
to purchase goods.

Also, because of backed up inventories and political and economic problems around the globe, it
is unlikely that either a tax cut or lower interest rates will stop the current round of lay-offs which
will not lift consumer confidence. And neither will the terrible fall in stock prices lift investor sentiment
as many of those 20-something fund managers have never seen a bear market b4. And neither
have many investors.

Personally, I don't expect a quick turn around, but I've been negative on the markets since the
November but for a read of the markets, ask William.

Of course, I'm probably wrong, and that would be GOOD!!
