Our next door neighbors are having a heck of a time with that question. ( Not trying to make a point with this story necessarily btw. ) They had one daughter, wanted more but didn't seem capable. So they decided to try in vitro. I believe they implant 3 eggs at a time. 2nd or third try, all three took. Somewhere along the line one died, but after an excruciating pregnancy, delivered 2 healthy boys.

In their minds flushing the remaining eggs was the same as abortion. So they continue to have them implanted. Couple of months ago it went terribly wrong and we were scared out of our wits that we were going to lose her but the problem was resolved and the pregnancy was aborted. There are more eggs left so, despite the risks and the fact that it costs thousands of dollars each time, they intend to keep going till they're all gone.

Eventually they are implanted or destroyed. Is this abortion?
