P4's poor performance has been an industry wide disaster

P4's "poor performance" is in fact the highest performing integer processor in existence and very nearly the fastest floating point as well. However those who have problems out typing their old wordprocessors may need to slow down their fingers. It's quite likely that Intel has much faster versions sitting in the warehouse just waiting for AMD to show signs of closing the wide performance gap.

SCUMbria - Re: "P4's poor performance has been an industry wide disaster. It doesn't justify a high price, "

Yes it does - and it's getting a good price.

You might ask why AMD's AthWipers keep getting a LOWER price in face of this competition.
