So what is the latest spin on rate cuts?

Hmmm. . . let's see now. . .

No rate cut = Bad News = the Fed is ignoring the economy

1/4 point surprise cut = Bad News = too little too late

1/2 point surprise cut = Bad News = totally priced into market; won't change anything

3/4 point surprise cut = Bad News = Fed is worried about global economy

1 point surprise cut = Terrible News = Fed is REALLY worried about global economy

. . . . . . . .

So doing nothing is possibly better than doing something and have it spun negative.
