With in vitro fertilization, the decision to fertilize the egg outside the body is joint and due to the unusual circumstances I doubt there are many couples who do not want to complete the process. However, I would opine that in the situation DMA described, i.e. extra embryo's stored, there would be no way in hell that a husband or boyfriend could insist that a woman get impregnated again without her consent. That would be some scene:"honey, we have 3 kids now but we still have 6 more embyro's in storage...I've decided that we should use them all. I think 3 more sets of twins would be perfect...." Can you see the wife saying, "Sure darling, out yoonges is already 12 months old, can we start right now?" Get real man..... In political terms, she can veto the in vitro. Do you think differently?
