Harry .... Pat Slevin is MUCH more the trader who uses/knows/trades using things like gaps ... I saw Mike's comment over on the Tech Analysis thread earlier ... and I made a note on a pad I keep by the computer to ask Paddy about it later today or this evening ... I'll go do it now on the Systems Thread and we'll see what kind of answer he'll give ... some days ... he'll not answer til after mkt close due to his schedule ... but he will tell us more than I know ....ggggg My OEX/SPX/emini days have really been highly focused on intra day stuff ... gaps/trends/etc have not been on my agenda, as a rule .... my "long term holds" normally last less than 30 minutes so gaps haven't been important to me .... matter of fact, the last overnight I can recall was Labor Day of 97 or 98 ....... gggggg and days of 10 trades are a lot more common than any hold of longer than 15min ..... but I'll post to Paddy and see what the ol master will say ... but I'm honored that you asked me .....
