One very vivid memory I have of October '87 is that when we were at the bottome on Tuesday, 10/20, no one, and I mean ABSOLUTELY NO ONE was calling the bottom. Much less the insane clown posse we now see on the media. No. 1: Stocks are NOT undervalued by any conventional metric (price/earnings, price/sales, price/book, dividend yield, etc.). For this clown to come out and make a statement like that belies intense desparation and nothing more....
