Today, Bush is in New Jersey...why? Who knows. The day before it was FL, the day before that, TX and AZ and IO.

He claims he is concerned about energy prices....doesn't AF one use up energy? I guess not....he rides around in it like its a big car.

Given that the economic climate is worsening shouldn't he be in DC showing some leadership? I would think so....but what would I know, I voted for the guy who won.

Ted....Re..Rubin's now at Citi (C:NYSE - news - boards). He's trying to fight the tax cuts. Arrghhh!! And Paul O'Neill couldn't calm down the right-field bleachers, let alone the traders downtown. Bush? He seems as out of touch about the stock market as his father was about milk at the 7/11. Not that his dad knew anything about the stock market, either. Greenspan? He is spending so much time not panicking that he will eventually have to panic. <<<<<

Ted you will note that Kramer says ARRGhhh after that statement about Rubin fighting tax cuts. Even Kramer agrees about the tax cut. As far as ONeil. Its too early to judge him. He did a great job at alcoa. Give him a chance. As far as GW knowing about the stock market; I didn't know that was one of his duties, to manipulate the stock market.

I would agree that we haven't seen as much leadership as I would like. But much of GW messages have been drowned out by the pardon mess; a lot of it has been drowned out because of the dems. "GW is stupid" program, which hardly instills confidence in a leader. Whether he is stupid or not, he is our president, and should be given the benefit of the doubt. It should be noted, that several people here have called GW stupid, without giving him a chance, and now declare that he isn't a leader just as impetuously. Give him some time, at least 1 yr.; then criticize. Maybe somebody will believe you then.
