You wouldn't be referring to a couple of disk drive stocks, would you?

I don't follow these two companies, but I looked at the profit margins for the last 10 years and both companies typically have single digit margins. During 2000, they both jumped into the 20s, due in good part I assume, to the red hot electronics markets. I remember reading how capacitors were in shortage during the year.

Like any commodity, you can move from shortage to glut very fast usually because of capacity additions at just the wrong time. Again, another trait we are familiar with from our disk drive investing.
