I am afraid, you're wrong. There are lots of opportunities in making money on junk bonds, this happens to be one of them. Less than 10% of junk bonds have defaulted over the past decade. There are literally hundreds of examples of deep discounted bonds where there is no bankruptcy following. You just have to do your homework.
