OT> Dave, you write about the Federal Reserve as though it is a branch of the U.S. Government. It is not. It never was. The U.S. Government does NOT own the Federal Reserve. In fact the 5 trillion in debt that the U.S. Government owes. . .we owe to the Federal Reserve, a private corporation. You may wish to do some research on who the FED really is.

I am not talking about conspiracy theories. The FED pulls the strings of the U.S. economy. . . manages our money supply. . . manages every check you write . . .etc., etc.
just ask your banker, he will tell you. As much as I wish that the Federal Reserve was a part of the U.S. Government, it is not.

Let's examine the proof:

Here is a copy of the actual Federal Reserve Act:
landru.i-link-2.net
Here is what the Federal Reserve Act says about who owns the Federal Reserve: landru.i-link-2.net

Note that whenever a larger national bank buys a regional bank that owns a portion of the Federal Reserve, the larger national bank's ownership in the Fed increases. This sort of bigger fish action has been going on for nearly a hundred years. . . .leaving a handful of large banks that own the majority of the FED.

And here is the best part. . >smirk< . . . Federal Reserve Banks PAY NO TAX!! Those who own shares in the Federal Reserve Banks pay no tax on the dividends they make from their owndership!! Not Federal, not state and not local. None! Zip! Name me one other for-profit corporation that can claim that! Am I making this up? Is this a conspiracy?

Let's look at the PROOF:

Read it for yourself from the U.S. Code:
www4.law.cornell.edu
Sec. 531. Exemption from taxation

Federal reserve banks, including the capital stock and surplus therein and the income derived therefrom, shall be exempt from Federal, State, and local taxation, except taxes upon real estate.

Those lucky few who hold shares of Federal Reserve stock don't even pay capital gains or tax from dividend income!! Amazing!

History

The history and even the corporate structure of the Federal Reserve is extremely difficult to find any information. . . they do not file shareholder reports or financial reports like normal corporations do. So information must be pieced together, making the information have the appearance of being bogus. If the Federal Reserve were to put out a statement of ownership, it would resolve all speculation. But they do not. And that is why the sharing of information about them comes off with the APPEARANCE of a conspiracy theory.

Here is a pieced together history of the Federal Reserve. . . .assembled from information gathered through a number of sources over many years. It is as close as we can get to the truth, without the Fed issuing a statement about its corporate structure, ownership and ownership history: newnetizen.com

There are links there to conspiracies, etc. But not to throw the baby out with the bathwater. . . these are merely attempts to piece together information from where there is a void in information. Such agencies, organizations and corporations could simply debunk all of this info by issuing a legal document declaring who they are and what they do. . . but they refuse. So odd people like Netizen must construct websites like that in order to try and get to the heart of the matter.

How you choose to believe is totally up to you.

Don't even get me started on this subject.
