Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori, who heads the task force, said before its first meeting Thursday the government will consider measures to bolster the market, including efforts to stimulate lagging consumer spending.

During the roughly two-hour meeting, Mori and his top economic advisers also discussed whether the government should buy shares from banks and other companies selling stocks ahead of the end of the fiscal year, on March 31, according to Mori spokesman Kazuhiko Koshikawa.

It is difficult for me to access this action as i am not to sure how a government can direct the stock market. It is rahter like infinite money supply and there of no value to the product it purchases.

Government laws that should be for the moral well being of people. The very laws that get confused as to what moral well being is.

What is the difference between Japan and oursleves?

to bolster the market, including efforts to stimulate lagging consumer spending.

AG wrestles with figures those figures are about as indicative of what is as the housing market which is made up of select area's not each and every house sold. How can you compare a get a sane figure when space in LA is quadruple to space in North Dakota. Business knows that they know how to gear their costs and shift increases from one area to the other so all is covered. AG should not have and does not have this ability to see the whole picture. As Japan who is considering a stab at keeping up their market under the premise of paper. More dollars less value for the dollar.

The people of the USA who shop and can add just like the people in Japan.
