Why should Brinker be held to a different standard than he built his show on?

Are you sitting down? How did YOUR QQQ or TEFQX perform compared to the VTSMX? Do you think the "bad news bears" of 1999 are wishing they were never born these days?

We don't hear him rustling through the pages of Barrons to get info on how caller's funds are doing these days do we? I actually used to enjoy that part of his act as it just proved how danged hard it was to beat an index fund. Bob just went and proved it with his recent advice.

My rough estimate is that most that subscribe to Bob's letter are very unsophisticated about investing and so they owe a great deal to Bob for teaching them. Many are fiercely loyal due to all he taught them over the years. I think he deserved that loyalty too.

NOW, I think he betrayed that loyalty as the recommendation to "act immediately" was targeted at his conservative investors as well as the "agressive investors".

"Wish y'll would ease up on criticizing BB for being a human who makes mistakes."

I am getting tired of saying it. It is not about Bob making a mistake. It is about how he deals with his mistakes.
