I do my own portfolio work but the people I know that have so-called professionals managing their portfolios by and large have not done much better. E.G.:My father in law's broker had him buying more qlgc all the way down from 120.
Nevertheless I know I should have sold as I had all the money I'd ever need for a couple of lifetimes.
I just don't think I "deserve" this misery, that's all I was saying.
When the market comes back I'll still have to be in stocks or I'll never be wealthy...just next time my holdings go up enormous amounts in a short time (if it happens again) I'll know to sell sell sell.
Lock in profits.
Keep profits.
Preserve capital.
Etc etc and so forth.
