John, Intel plans to have Pentium 4s available by the end or Q201 that will operate at 2 GHz.

I've seen 2 GHz P4 starting at the beginning of Q3'01. That's real close to the end of Q2'01. Not trying to be a "wice guy". Can't mention source.

However by the second half of 2001 chipsets which
interface with DDR and SDRAM memory will also be available for the Pentium 4 we believe,

I've seen this (Brookdale chipset from Intel) starting sometime in Q3. The DDR part is probably in Q1'02. The independents are talking non Rambus chipsets earlier than Intel, but not sure of exact times.

By the end of 2001 Intel expects to be shipping as many Pentium 4 chips as Pentium 3 chips.

I think Intel said that very recently (in the recent CC?) .

The empire is going to strike back all right.
