TE, The simple answer is that homicide, and manslaughter, are two very different things even though both deprive a person of their life. The old term separating them was "malice and aforethought", and "premeditation". Murder warrants the death penalty, manslaughter should be punished severely but just short of the death penalty. IMO. ~H~
