Speaking of federal boxing commission,
did any of you happen to see on TV last week (I can't remember which show), a panel discussing just that topic, including Bob Arum, Sen. McCain, and Roy Jones, Jr.!!

The main topic seemed to be that there were too many boxing federations, and so many different weight divisions, that it was nearly impossible to come up with true uncontested world champions, or even valid rankings.

My favorite part came when Jones, Jr. (who I am convinced is a moron) agreed that they should reduce the number of weight divisions because there was no one at his weight that could provide any form of competition. Senator McCain said something like, "Well I don't know about that Roy, I hear that there is a German boy out there that wants to fight you, and I hear he's pretty good."

Roy kept his mouth shut.

Stated that way, I agree on all counts. I of course knew who Finkel was, but thought that perhaps you were familiar with him in management roles with other fighters in the past.

I know that Finkel did an excellent job for Mark Breland. Set him up for life which I wish was the way more boxers had it in retirement.
Finkel was also the manager of Pernell Whitaker for most of his career.
