I wouldn't be surprised if this were true. Way back during Earthquake Wednesday, Craig Barrett held a couple of open forums here in Oregon, and he basically put down similar rumors made back then.

Since then, Intel warned, so maybe Barrett can't avoid cutting into capex anymore.
