Both are correct but both headlines are dumb. Davis was silly enough to respond to what earnings will be for the year 2001. Seemed like he 40 cents, but he must have said 40 cent loss. This is less than the 45 cents lost in year 2000. Way too early to give guidance for the full year. Hope he was sandbagging the number. One of your sources tlks about the full year the other talks about the last quarter. Great conference call. Last question asked by very astute investor. Modest too, as he failed to mention he was just promoted to president, right before the call began, and the call coordinator asked what his position was. He could hardly have said, "bent over". could he?
