Don, I don't hate msft. I also don't thing it will be gone in 3 years. My comparison is relative. As to linux I never thought that the pure linux plays made any sense stock wise. But rhat and lnux will also be around. Linux did not help aplx but aplx got caught up in trying to make money directly from linux and failed.

But Sgi is now run by a guy who has a plan and they have a finance guy who I think also knows how to focus on good business practices. SGI has highly differentiated products that solve a subset of problems with the best price performance. Mr. Bishop has had to spend time repairing serious credibility issues the were the spawn of clueless rocket ricky who is now air apparent to losing his touch Mr. Balmer.

I see the areas where SGI is strong as growing and less impacted by the current slowdown in the economy. The degrees are the question.

Believing or suggesting that SGI will not be around in three years is a rant.

As to performance, msft income will go sideways and over time the price will reflect the stagnation in growth.

Sgi has a great opportunity to grow.
