Talk about the "old boys". Here are two good links that show the bio's of the BOD. (1) yahoo.marketguide.com (2) (http://yahoo.marketguide.com/mgi/biograph.asp?nss=yahoo&rt=biograph&rn=64700) Messman, Jack L., (59) Director Mr. Messman has served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Union Pacific Resources Group, Inc., an oil and gas company, since October 1996. Mr. Messman previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Union Pacific Resources Group, Inc. from October 1995 to October 1996. From March 1991 to October 1995, Mr. Messman served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Union Pacific Resources Company. Mr. Messman is also a Director of Cambridge Technology Partners, Inc., Tandy Corporation, Safeguard Scientific, Inc., U.S. Data, Inc. and Union Pacific Resources Group, Inc. (http://yahoo.marketguide.com/mgi/biograph.asp?nss=yahoo&rt=biograph&rn=64700) ========================================================== What if anything new will he bring to Novell? I just do not understand it. The company, Novell, has a great opportunity to move forward into the Internet space with selling it's services through direct consulting agreements. They bring in old management (a BOD member for 15 years) to implement this new strategy. Let's hope this is an interim appointment. Good Luck Novell shareholders. I am not a shareholder but would invest new money if I thought they had a new management team with innovative ideas and an exciting business plan. IMO, none are provided in the announcements I have read...so far. EKS
