Hi, Scott- Thanks, and definitely get TWO dogs when the day comes (at least!) Actually two are easier and cheaper (well, maybe not cheaper) than one. They provide company and support for each other whenever they face some awful trauma, like you going out the door for a few minutes. Really, you feel better if you ever have to leave them in a kennel (hope not) or whatever. I've had a lot of different dogs and loved them all, but Goldens must be the very best for loving and gentleness, and being good with kids. Hope someday you have a house full of both. My best, J.C.
