Unfortunately that is the truth. Soon enough even the big government proponents might have to get used to a smaller government than otherwise they would get to play with simply because of the heavy tax burden leading to the subtrendline growth rate of the tax base. Bush should have simply proposed rolling back all the Clinton tax increases; for once, he'd be free from the media lies about "huge tax cut."
