Not to be an ass, but Vegas makes the odds based on public perception more than what they "think" the outcome might be. They try to get equal amount of money bet on each side and pocket the juice, so it is the public who thinks Duke will win, and as we all know from following the stock market it is sometimes better to be contrarian than follow the crowd.
