I like most kinds actually....don't like country a lot, but have found some that is really good....don't like rap for the most part....other than that, I like lots of different things...and movie soundtracks and comedy files too. The thing about Napster that the recording industry doesn't seem to get is the way that it feeds the addiction of music lovers. Sure, some people use it just to download whole albums that they don't want to pay for. But lots of us, who are willing to pay for the privilege, use it in a different way altogether. I will download a song or two that I like....and if the connection is good (no broadband available where I live) I will browse that person's entire collection on the grounds that we have one song in common that we like, so there must be others, even if I haven't heard them or have forgotten them. Then I download everything from that person that looks interesting, as long as the connection remains good. I've got hundreds of songs on my hard drive that I never considered buying, but now I have come to like, and have ended up buying CD's by those artists. Now, every day when I leave for work, I set the PC to download 20 or 30 files while I am gone, and as long as the connection is not lost I come home to a whole bunch of new music. If I don't like it, I erase it, but if I do, I look at more stuff by that artist and often buy it. How much would I pay to keep this privilege? Lots. And I think a lot of other people would too. JMHO..... Let me know by PM the screen names you were talking about. Thanks.
