I think that the selling is from those who got the stock very cheaply or for free. I doubt that there are very few people who acquired CSCO stock at $80 who still own the stock. Yup, I think this is the curse of the employee stock options. Where the employees of many of these tech companies only saw the good news 8-10 months ago, I believe that they may only be seeing the bad stuff now. And unfortunately, not only does this actually cause selling pressure, it also increases the actual amount of stock in the float.

The more that this selling pressure is from short sellers, the better. They provide buying pressure when they cover their shorts.

As far as to who is buying...
